U10 Cricket - Clifton Festival: 25 - 27 September

The u10 cricket festival held at Clifton Notties was a massive success. We had boys from 10 schools, ranging from Zimbabwe, Johannesburg and schools from KZN that we would not normally play. These boys and coaches stayed in our boarding house and ate all meals in the dining hall, getting a real hands-on experience of life at Clifton Notties.

There were countless times where coaches and parents from the other schools had huge praise for our staff involved and the general vibe around the place. This was helped hugely by the PA of Clifton for putting together meals and the hosting side of things really well.

The cricket was fantastic, our boys went from strength to strength during the festival, playing almost 200 overs of cricket! This was a great time to try different things and give all the boys a chance to bat and bowl. Although the results didn't go our way, the growth and understanding of the boys with regards to building for the upcoming cricket season was commendable.

A highlight of the festival was ending off against Clifton Durban on the Haworth Oval, we were put in to bat first and posted a score of 81 for the loss of 6 wickets. With a massive effort in the field we were unfortunately not able to restrict them getting our total. A great moment was shared between the two schools after with a photo together.

We played the following games:
