Senior Primary Inter-House Music: 26 November
A Wonderful Musical Celebration: The Clifton Notties Interhouse Music Competition 2025
The Annual Inter-house Music Competition 2025 took place on Monday 24 November at 9.00am in the Chapel. The standard of musicianship was exceptionally high across the board, leaving our judging panel with the immensely difficult task of scoring the performances.
This year's panel included our Headmaster, Mr. Fleischack, alongside the experienced perspectives of Mrs. Barbara Kerr and Mr. Peter Quinn. The judges universally praised not only the musical quality but also the brilliant organisation of the teams and the outstanding house spirit, noting specifically how the Champs physically stood by each other, offering encouragement to do their very best. This sense of camaraderie truly embodied our school ethos.
The children showcased diverse and engaging musical choices:
Barbarians chose the motivational anthem 'Hall of Fame' by The Script.
Trojans delivered a powerful choral rendition of 'Counting Stars' by OneRepublic.
Crusaders brought infectious energy, drawing inspiration from and reworking from 'Get Lucky' by Pharrell Williams.
In addition to the group choices, each house showcased their solo, trio and smaller ensembles, showcasing items of the highest standard.
The final scores reflected the morning's tight competition:
Crusaders: "Get Lucky" (Inspiration)
1st place with 203 points
Trojans: "Counting Stars"
2nd place with 192 points
Barbarians: "Hall of Fame"
3rd place with 184 points
A massive thank you is due to our judges for their marvelous input and diligence, and, most importantly, to all the students for their hard work, passion, and enthusiasm. It was truly a wonderful musical celebration. We now eagerly look forward to next year's event! Well done, one and all!
