Marimbas & Band: Termly Reflection
Term 4 has been a vibrant and successful season for our Band and Marimba programme. Both groups have shown impressive growth in skill, confidence, and musical discipline, making this term one of their strongest yet.
One of the highlights was performing at the Arts Exhibition, where our musicians shared the stage with Michaelhouse. This collaborative performance allowed our children to showcase their musical progress while gaining valuable experience performing alongside another well-established school. The energy, teamwork, and high standard of playing made the event truly memorable.
Throughout the term, the School Band continued to enrich our assemblies with upbeat and well-prepared musical items. Their performances have become a staple of our school gatherings, bringing excitement and school spirit to each event. Their commitment to regular rehearsals is clearly reflected in the quality of their sound and their growing professionalism.
Our Junior Band also grown this term, despite their young age. They have demonstrated excellent focus and musical awareness, setting a warm and celebratory tone. Their progress this year has been remarkable, and they continue to show great promise for the future of our music department.
In both band and marimba groups, our boys and girls are developing not just technical skills, but also confidence, teamwork, and a deepening love for music. We look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and shine in the new year.
