Pre-School Teddy Bear Picnic: 6 November

As the curtain draws on what has been a wonderfully busy year, our final term in the Pre-School has been a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of laughter, rhythm, and a generous sprinkling of magic. This period is always a time of joyful reflection and exciting final activities, with our social calendar culminating in a particularly beloved tradition: the Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

The air buzzed with excitement as the children arrived, each one proudly and carefully carrying their favourite fluffy friend. From worn, classic bears to brightly coloured modern companions, the procession of plush characters set the scene for a morning of shared adventure and outdoor fun.

As the thick mist filtered through the canopy of trees, we settled down for the picnic feast. The children, along with their teddy guests, shared a medley of yummy snacks, turning the simple act of eating into a memorable communal event. Following the picnic, the woods transformed into a magical story circle, where we gathered to listen to captivating tales, the quiet rustle of leaves providing a natural soundtrack.

The ultimate adventure, however, was the highly anticipated teddy bear hunt. The children keenly followed a series of cleverly hidden clues, which led them on an exciting and meandering trail deep through the woods. The hunt was filled with energy, and the sounds of pure joy—giggles, squeals of delight, and cheerful shouts of discovery—echoed merrily among the leaves, confirming the success of this enchanting end-of-year celebration.
