Squash: Termly Reflection
This has been a busy and exciting term for squash, filled with matches, tournaments, and plenty of growth on the courts. We kicked things off with our Grade 6 and 7 internal squash tournament, which was a great success and gave many players the chance to put their skills to the test.
Our squash league also began this term, with the school entering two junior and two senior teams. The children have done us incredibly proud. Our results were outstanding, and we won all but one match.
Alongside the competition, one of our main goals was to give as many players as possible the opportunity to experience match play and develop confidence on court. Their sportsmanship throughout the season was admirable and a credit to our school.
Another highlight of the term was our School Championship Tournament. Congratulations to Ben Leitch and Grace Price-Moor, our boys’ and girls’ champions for 2025. Well done also to our runners-up, Litsitso Makara and Jennifer Skead, for their excellent performances.
Finally, we are delighted to welcome Nicky Taylor to our squash team. She will be taking over the administration of squash next year when I retire at the end of the year. We are excited for what lies ahead under her guidance.
It has been a wonderful term and I couldn’t be prouder of our players and the spirit they bring to the game.
