Senior Primary Carol Service: 26 November
On a calm Midlands evening, families, friends, and children gathered in the Chapel for the Senior Primary Carol Service, a gentle and uplifting close to the term.
The service began with "Once in Royal David’s City," setting a reflective tone as the Christmas story unfolded. The readings were led by the Grade 7 Hearts4J children, who carried out their roles with confidence, guiding everyone from the angel’s visit to Mary through the journey to Bethlehem, and finally to the birth of Jesus.
Music played a meaningful role throughout the evening. The violin ensemble offered a moving interlude, and the choir sang beautifully, adding warmth and emotion through pieces such as “Mary Did You Know” and “When Love Was Born”. The congregational hymns invited everyone to join together in song, with “Silent Night”, sung in three languages, standing out as a particularly memorable moment.
A short message encouraged families to pause in the busyness of the season and reflect on the themes of hope, love, humility, and light, quiet reminders of the heart of Christmas.
The benediction brought the evening to a calm and meaningful close, and families headed home with a sense of peace and joy. It was a memorable service that marked the start of the Christmas season in a simple, heartfelt way.
Wishing all our families a blessed and joyful Christmas.
