Spongebob Drawing by Zelyn Franza Yuana

This is Zelyn, Year 1 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya, with her drawing about her favourite character, Spongebob Squarepants. She likes the character, that’s why she drew the Spongebob Squarepants character on her paper. It was not too easy for her to finish it, but she needs to be more serious to do it so the drawing looks like the original version. This drawing is taken from one of the activities on Visual Art. It's called "What to Draw". There are 12 boxes filled with the numbers of clues and instructions for students to draw. Students need to roll the virtual dice from Google, then draw the number they got. From this game, Zelyn got the clue to draw her favourite character.

Fantasy and Floral Doodle by Al-Mayka Yudhista Kaylaluna

This is Mayka, Year 1 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya, with her doodle drawings. There are 2 doodles. The floral doodle one, and the fantasy doodle one. Mayka is one of the most talented students in art. She always comes earlier during the online class. These doodles are taken from the Painting Beginner 2nd semester topic. She likes drawing so much and full of imaginations. We can see it from her doodle. Filled with so many objects like flowers, sun, mushroom, and many more. The floral doodle is inspired by her garden and the fantasy doodle is inspired by Snowwhite and the 7 Dwarfs.

Pasta Flower Mix Color by Elmyr Dimitri Ashar

This is Elmyr, Year 1 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya, with his colour mixing experiment. Colour mixing is one of the Visual Art activities during online learning. Students learned and are taught about colour: the name, the category, how to produce and how to mix it to a new type of colour. After learned about colour mixing, now for this playground he chooses to take his understanding of colour mixing further than before. He did a new experiment with watercolour and pasta. He coloured the portions of pasta and put them together and combine them with his drawing into a couple of flowers.

Book Holder from Cereal Box by Rajendriya Sigra Prabhasasri

This is Sigra, Year 1 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya, with his recycle product. This product is taken from his learning experiences in Visual Art and the collaboration with Sciences in the first semester. He made this product as the application of his understanding after he learned about 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) from Sciences and Form from Visual Art. The students are allowed to do the research, choose the materials, and choose the product that they want to make. For the project, he chose to create a book and paper holder from unused cardboard. Sigra got the cardboard itself from his cereal box.

Zentangle Drawing by Fachry Yudhistira Husman

This is Fachry, Year 1 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya, with his Zentangle drawings. There is 1 Zentangle drawing with so many patterns inside. This Zentangle drawing is taken from the Painting Beginner 2nd semester topic. Actually, there are 4 main topics in Painting Beginner such as Doodle, Scribble Art, Zentangle, and Mandala. But for this Playground, Fachry chose his Zentangle to show because he likes this one. Fachry did his Zentangle drawing patiently. We can see it from his Zentangle drawing: filled with so many patterns built from lines, dots, objects, and colours. He got so many inspirations from his friends and from his own research.

In a class presentation, she told that she likes the beach so that's why she drew it. This is Safana, a Year 2A student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya and her recycle product. This project is made from her mom's unused jewellery box. She put so many decorations around the box with colours, rainbow, cat face, and any other objects. So it is not only useful but also beautiful. Morning and Night by Aghnia Zakata

This is Zee, a Year 3 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya, with her amazing painting about moring and night. She painted half of the canvas with morning scenery on the left, and night scenery on the right. The morning scenery filled with half of the sun while the night scenery filled with the crescent moon. At the bottom of the painting, we can see the different colours of the sea to show us the difference between the morning and the night.

This is a phone case design by Tera. She is a Year 3 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya. This project is taken from one of the activities in Visual Art. The topic was about a pattern. Students are allowed to choose their own product such as drawing or painting and choose their own favourite pattern to make. Then Tera came up with this phone case design in digital art. She made it because she loves her phone. Tera found it fun to do, but she found the difficulty when she was trying to make both sides of the wings perfect. Anyway, she did the project very well.

This is Janeeta's Batik design drawing. She is a Year 3 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya. In this Playground, she wants to show us her favourite artwork from her learning expetriences this semester. This Batik design is taken from the Visual Art 1st semester topic. Janeeta made this Batik design, because she loves Batik and it’s an Indonesian heritage. She hopes that the youth generation of Indonesia could be proud to wear Batik. Janeta drew the Batik design and filled it with some objects and patterns. My Pattern Artwork by Andari Rose Mastura

My project is patterned artwork. Pattern artwork is artwork that is repeated throughout the canvas. I made my project by putting the same drawing on the canvas repeatedly. by putting the same drawing across the canvas it will soon become a pattern. I also put other shapes across the canvas and a mix of colors to make it.

I wanted to choose this project because it's fun to make!. And also because I like to draw. I'm also proud of the artwork that I made! I wanted to showcase this because I want people to see the artwork that I have created. I also like the color palette because i think it's really fitting so that's why I wanted to showcase it.

This is Marie, a Year 4B student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya and her final project for Visual Art this semester. This project is used as the final assessment. The project is about how students are possible to make patterned artwork and apply it to a product such as a t-shirt. The students are allowed to do their own research about Batik Jumputan and how to fold the t-shirt to produce the pattern. Marie chose to create the flower pattern for her t-shirt with a fork to make it look like a flower. In this Playground, Marie picks her Batik Jumputan t-shirt because she enjoyed the Batik Jumputan making and she likes the result of her work.

In a class presentation, Aldan told that he was so excited to create his Batik Jumputan. He and his sister made these T-shirts together. Aldan tied the t-shirt vertically and put some colours for the motive.

This is Hanna, a Year 4 student of Sekolah Cikal Surabaya, with her creative design of Batik. This drawing is taken from one of the activities on Visual Art. It's called "What to Draw". There are 12 boxes filled with the numbers of clues and instructions for students to draw. Students need to roll the virtual dice from Google, then draw the number they got. In this game, Hanna got the clue to draw her favourite Disney character wearing a Batik. Then Hanna came up with this Elsa wearing a Batik. She calls this Batik with the name of "Batik Kerang".
