We are committed to providing the best possible learning experience for all of our students by creating a focused and engaging classroom environment. To help us maintain this atmosphere and ensure each child can thrive, we ask for your support in keeping personal items that could become distractions at home. This will also help prevent students from losing or damaging belongings they bring.
Below are a few reminders to help minimize disruptions and foster a positive, productive experience for everyone:
Please encourage your child to leave any non-essential items, such as toys, makeup, and other personal belongings, at home. These items often lead to distractions during class and can shift the focus away from our core school activities.
Keeping these items at home supports a learning-focused environment and ensures that your child is fully engaged with their lessons throughout the school day.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding in helping us create a thriving and focused learning experience for all students!
Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up soon! Mark your calendars for the evenings of October 9 (virtual) and October 10 (in-person). We look forward to connecting with you to discuss your student's progress and continue partnering in their education. Sign-up information will be sent to you the week of September 30.
Also, please note there will be no school for students on Friday, October 11.
The WMAES Parent Team has once again made it possible for us to host a popcorn sale for students. Bags of popcorn are 50 cents. Families will still be able to sponsor an entire class for a donation of $10. Students are able to purchase multiple bags of popcorn if desired.

Get ready for some fun and creativity, WMAES families! From October 14th to 18th, we're celebrating Homecoming Spirit Week. Participation is entirely optional, but we encourage everyone to join in on the fun! Here's a peek at each day's theme:
Monday - Character Day: Dress as your favorite character from a book or movie!
Tuesday - Monochromatic Day: Pick a color and go all out – dress head to toe in your chosen color!
Wednesday - A Wrinkle in Time: Time travel for a day! Dress as an older or younger version of yourself.
Thursday - Rhyme Without Reason: Partner up for a twist on twin day! Instead of dressing alike, you and your partner dress as two unrelated things that rhyme (e.g., a dog and a frog ).
Friday - Eagle Pride: Show off your WMAES spirit with school gear and colors!
We can't wait to see all the creative outfits and school spirit!
We’re looking forward to one of our favorite annual community events, Treats on the Trails. Treats on the Trails provides a fun, safe trick-or-treating experience for families on the beautiful trails at WMAES. Donations of bags of individually wrapped candy in support of the event are greatly appreciated. Candy donations can be dropped off in either the elementary or secondary office.
Families can begin entering the trails at 5:00. Costumes for students are encouraged but not required. Costumes must be appropriate for school (e.g. no weapons, blood, etc.). We encourage families to bring a bag or bucket for each child that will be receiving candy. We hope you’ll join us for this fun family event!
