We wanted to remind everyone that our lost and found items will be available for you to look through and pick up until the beginning of Spring Break, March 28th. After this date, any unclaimed items will be donated. Weather permitting, we plan to put the tables outside in the coming days during dismissal for families to browse the items. Please take a moment to stop by and see if any of your lost belongings are waiting to be found.
The Service Learning Team is organizing Penny Wars during the week of March 18th as a fundraiser for their program. Collection carts will be stationed at the entrances of both the elementary and secondary buildings, featuring bins designated for each classroom or EL class. Daily updates on fundraising totals for each class will be shared. Classrooms achieving the highest fundraising amounts will earn no uniform passes. Donating coins earns points for a class, and donating dollars in the bin of another class takes points away.
The WMAES Power Parent Team has once again made it possible for us to host a popcorn sale for students on Friday, March 22. Bags of popcorn are 50 cents. Families will still be able to sponsor an entire class for a donation of $10. Students may purchase multiple bags of popcorn if desired.
Friday is also a dollar no uniform day for students.
The Mobile Dentist will be on campus April 23-25. Permission forms were sent home last week. A completed permission form needs to be returned by April 9 if you would like your student to be seen by the Mobile Dentist. Thank you!

Get ready to witness an out-of-this-world experience at WMAES! Mark your calendars for April 8th as we welcome the amazing Maranda for our Eclipse event! Students will head outside with their classes around 2 p.m. to catch a glimpse of the mesmerizing stages of the eclipse. Classes will be held outdoors during the eclipse, and teachers will guide students back for dismissal at 2:55 p.m. Parents, don’t miss out on this celestial spectacle! Pick up your little astronomers as usual and take a stroll around our campus to witness the final moments of the eclipse. We’ll have a limited supply of extra glasses for those who want to join in on the fun! Stay tuned for more details on how to snag these special glasses.
