Cool off with a sweet treat! AKona Ice truck will be at the WMAES parking lot starting at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, June 3. Kona Ice will be available for purchase, and a portion of all sales will be donated back to WMAES. We hope you’ll stop by and enjoy a treat while supporting our school!

We’re excited to share a special opportunity from our friends at the YMCA! Camp Manitoulin is a unique summer camp experience designed to help kids build friendships, confidence, and unforgettable memories in the great outdoors.

We ended the week with smiles and surprises thanks to a special visit from Food Hugs—a local non-profit spreading joy through random acts of kindness!
Each of our K–3 students received an end-of-year toy on Friday afternoon, and the excitement was contagious. We’re so grateful to Chef Jenna Arcidiacono, founder of Food Hugs, for bringing such a thoughtful gesture to our school community.

We are excited to continue our efforts in supporting our students through our assistance programs. Our resources have expanded this school year, and we want to ensure you are aware of the benefits available to our entire community.
Our new counseling service, the School Assistance Program (SAP), is offered through Pine Rest, a professional mental health service. This program provides five free, confidential counseling sessions per episode of care and is available 24/7 to anyone in the student’s household.
To access this service, simply call 800.442.0809, press 1, and follow the prompts. Be sure to mention, “I have an SAP with West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science.”
