Summer is a wonderful time for students to explore new topics, reinforce their skills, and engage in fun, educational activities. We encourage all students to take advantage of the learning resources available through the WMAES Clever portal and other free programs highlighted below.

8:30–11:30 AM – TK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grades
12:15–2:45 PM – 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades

👕 Grade Level Shirt Colors:
TK – Red
Kindergarten – Green
1st Grade – Blue
2nd Grade – Yellow
3rd Grade – Red
4th Grade – Green
5th Grade – Blue

Students should wear a school-appropriate shirt in their assigned grade-level color or their Field Day shirt if they purchased one.

🍧 Kona Ice at WMAES – Tuesday, June 3! 🍧

Cool off with a sweet treat! AKona Ice truck will be at the WMAES parking lot starting at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, June 3. Kona Ice will be available for purchase, and a portion of all sales will be donated back to WMAES. We hope you’ll stop by and enjoy a treat while supporting our school!

 Last Day of School – Friday, June 6

A reminder that elementary students will be dismissed at noon on the last day of school, Friday, June 6.

🍦Double Dip Depot Fundraiser – Friday, June 6!🍦

Celebrate the last day of school with a sweet treat! Stop by Double Dip Depot (3284 Remembrance Rd NW) anytime between noon and 10:00 PM on Friday, June 6, and a portion of all sales will be donated back to WMAES.

A Sweet Surprise for Our K–3 Students! 

We ended the week with smiles and surprises thanks to a special visit from Food Hugs—a local non-profit spreading joy through random acts of kindness!

Each of our K–3 students received an end-of-year toy on Friday afternoon, and the excitement was contagious. We’re so grateful to Chef Jenna Arcidiacono, founder of Food Hugs, for bringing such a thoughtful gesture to our school community.

Assistance Program INFORMATION 

We are excited to continue our efforts in supporting our students through our assistance programs. Our resources have expanded this school year, and we want to ensure you are aware of the benefits available to our entire community.

Our new counseling service, the School Assistance Program (SAP), is offered through Pine Rest, a professional mental health service. This program provides five free, confidential counseling sessions per episode of care and is available 24/7 to anyone in the student’s household.

To access this service, simply call 800.442.0809, press 1, and follow the prompts. Be sure to mention, “I have an SAP with West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science.”
