The Intent to Return form for the 2024-2025 is still available PowerSchool Parent Portal. As a reminder, Intent to Return is an online form that families complete annually to ensure their students have a spot reserved at WMAES for the next school year. We look forward to the opportunity to reserve space for your student and continue partnering with you in your childâs education! Please keep in mind that if you have multiple students at WMAES, an intent to return will need to be completed for each of them separately. Thank you!Â

From the drop down menu, choose Parental PortalÂ
From the Parent Portal
Click the Sign In tab and enter your Username and Password
If you donât have an account please create an account by clicking on the Create Account tab
Follow the steps to create your account
Your childâs information screen will appear
Click Intent to Return on the left side of the pageÂ
Fill out the required information.
Review the information listed to make sure everything is current
Make changes as needed
Click Submit

Parent-teacher conference registration is available at https://www.myconferencetime.com/wmaes/. In-person conferences will be held on February 29 from 5:30-7:30 pm and virtual conferences will be held on March 1 from 1:00-4:00 pm. We hope that these time slots will accommodate your schedule and look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child's progress.Â

Afternoon Parent-Teacher Conferences: Please mark your calendars for noon dismissal Friday, March 1st due to parent-teacher conferences.
Staff Professional Development: Another important date to remember is Friday, March 15th, which is also a noon dismissal day for students. This time is dedicated to staff professional development, allowing our teachers and staff to engage in training and activities that further enhance our educational offerings and the learning environment for our students.
Transportation Reminder: Please ensure arrangements are made for your child to be picked up promptly at noon on these days.

My name is Jamieson Shultz. I am the Director of the West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science Great Start Readiness Preschool. We offer FREE Preschool to students who will be 4 by December 1, 2024. We have a beautiful outdoor classroom just for preschoolers as well as 62 acres to hike with ponds, a forest, prairie, and meadow. We would love a chance to meet you. You may book a tour, join us for a Nature Walk, or attend our Open House.
You may apply for GSRP on March 1st for the 24-25 school year. The application will be completed through Kent ISD and will ask you to list your preference of school. Some families have listed us for all three or listed three different sites. You will need to upload the following documents: Birth Certificate or Proof of Birth, proof of income, proof of residence, and immunization records. If you have any questions, please reach out.

We're thrilled to announce that we will be hosting an all-school event to observe the upcoming Solar Eclipse on April 8th. This event is a fantastic educational opportunity, and we're looking forward to experiencing it as a school community. Stay tuned for more details on the event's activities and schedule.
đ Eclipse T-Shirts Fundraiser: To commemorate this event and support a great cause, we are selling special Eclipse T-shirts! The proceeds from these T-shirts will directly support our secondary Service Learning students and their impactful programs. By purchasing a T-shirt, you'll not only have a wonderful keepsake but also contribute to our students' ability to engage in meaningful community service projects.
 Students will have the opportunity to wear their Eclipse T-shirts on the day of the eclipse event.
