*Important updates issued by CBSE recently.*

1. CBSE X & XII Exams 2023 to commence from 15th February 2023.

2. Due to special circumstances last year, students who had Maths Basic last year in grade 10 can take Maths (041) in grade 11.

3. Year 2022-23  - Annual Exam Pattern for both 10th and 12th.

A) Class 10th Question Paper Pattern changed to - 40%+20%+40%

(I) CBQuestions 40 %

( MCQs, Case based, Source based or any other type) 

(II) OTQs 20 %

(III) 40 % Short /long answer questions

B) Class 11th & 12th question  paper pattern changed to - 30%+20%+50%

(I) CBquestions 30%

( MCQs, Case based, Source based or any other type) 

(II) OTQs 20%

(III) Short / Long answer questions 50%

*Class VI to XII*

*Replacing Class-Test with an LO(Learning Outcomes)*

*The NEP Flagship's tool CBE ;Competency-based education; proficiency in LO(Learaning Outcomes) is the core element to replace the work Class-Test*

*Policy point*

(1) For Class VI to VIII (Two LO (tests) in a week.For Class IX to XII LO (Three Tests in a week)

(2) LO (CLASS TEST); A Class Test will be based on perception, idea, exploration, critical thinking, problem-solving and Own-Crafting-Answer. And the test level is Mic(Small) and the timeline will be 15 min.'

*UNDERSTAND THE CBE IN THE Assessment and Evaluation Practices of the Board for the Session 2022-23*

CLASS X

Competency Based Questions would be minimum 40%

These can be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions, Case based Questions, Source based Integrated Questions or any other types.

CLASS XII

Competency Based Questions would be minimum 30%

These can be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions, Case-based Questions, Source-based Integrated Questions or any other types.

*For TWB, STWB,Subject Leaders & Subject Teachers*

(1) Please note that the Cass-Teacher  reviews the Subject-Teacher to change the test or backup day due to more than one test per day based on the class-wise policy. A teacher will follow the feedback from the Class Teacher based on the review comments.

  (2) TEST DAY/Backup Day(Support/Doubt/Relearn); Any one day in a week.

(3) While writing the Weekly syllabus, plan the given days in a particular week and follow the instructions in the weekly-section window.

NOTE:-(1) PRACTICE STUDENTS THE CBE;LO-BASED ASSESSMENTS AT CLASS LEVEL TEST.

(2) Write the progressive sentence while assessing the LO(Class test)

(3) Keep a record of LOs for CBSE's Academic audit and Portfolio crafting.
