Internal Assessments (20 Marks):

(1) Multiple Assessment (5 Marks): Based on class tests, presentations, subject-based activities, oral quizzes, and subject-based projects.

(2) P-2 /HPC (5 Marks): Highlighting Performance in Chapters (Marks awarded based on specific lessons/chapters learned/Participated in regular classroom sessions).
Note:

Whichever is higher between Periodic Test-1 and HPC will be considered for awarding 5 marks. 

(3) Subject Enrichment Project (5 Marks): Art integrating art and promoting national unity ("Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat").

(4) Portfolio (5 Marks):

is a matter of following the Cbse guidelines and carrying a variety of the Questions under CFQ (Competency Focused Questions),

 SA(Small Answer) VSA(Very Small Answer)  MCQ) , True False, Matching with lines, Map Analysis etc.

Marking Scheme

Total Marks: 80 | Total Time: 3 Hours (180 minutes)

Part A: Objective Assessment (44 Marks, 90 minutes)

§ MCQ: 14 Marks (30 minutes)

§ True/False: 5 Marks (10 minutes)

§ Fill-ups: 5 Marks (10 minutes)

§ Matching: 5 Marks (15 minutes)

§ Very Short Answer: 15 Marks (25 minutes)

Part A: Objective Assessment (44 Marks, 90 minutes) 

§ MCQ (Conceptual & Factual): 14 Marks – 7 Questions (2 marks each). Time: 30 minutes (3 minutes per question). This allows sufficient time for reading, understanding, and selecting the answer.

§ True/False: 5 Marks – 5 Questions (1 mark each). Time: 10 minutes (2 minutes per question). T/F questions are generally quick to answer.

§ Fill-ups: 5 Marks – 5 Questions (1 mark each). Time: 10 minutes (2 minutes per question).

§ Matching: 5 Marks – 5 sets of matching (1 mark each set). Time: 15 minutes (3 minutes per matching set). Matching can sometimes require a bit more thinking, especially if the options are similar.

§ Very Short Answer (One Word/Phrase): 15 Marks – 15 Questions (1 mark each). Time: 25 minutes (Approximately 1.5-2 minutes per question). 

Part B: Subjective Assessment (36 Marks, 90 minutes)

§ Short Answer: 24 Marks (50 minutes) – 4 Questions (6 marks each)

§ Long Answer: 12 Marks (40 minutes) – 2 Questions (6 marks each, may have sub-questions)
