February might be the shortest month but we got a lot packed in! The highlight of the month was the full return of our Friendship Week and we were thrilled to see so many family members in the school throughout the week. The last day of the week is often everyone's favourite where we ask families to bring in food from their heritage background and share it with the children. We had food from all over the world and it went down a treat! This year we also hosted the 5th/6th class disco, which went really well and we also welcomed musician, Lea Heart, to the school who performed some of her hits.
The fun doesn't stop here with March only around the corner. We'll be celebrating World Book Day with every pupil in the school taking part in the "One Book, One School" initiative. This year we will all be reading "Where the Wild Things Are." For International Women's Day, we'll be studying Ada Lovelace, who you might remember from STEAM Week. Seachtain na Gaeilge also begins with lots of activities planned for that.
Until next time, keep happy, safe and learning
