It's difficult to believe how quickly this year has sped by and we're already coming to the end of the year. This month's newsletter is full of very important information for the end of the year with news, also, of what's happening next term, so please make sure to read on! In this school, we do not give homework in June. This is to ensure that you take advantage of (hopefully) the good weather and spend as much time out and about as possible. This month was busy as usual and I want to commend the Student Council on the success of their Cake Sale, which raised over €800 for Éist, the Carlow Cancer Charity. I really appreciate your support of this important service. I hope you enjoy the rest of this newsletter and until next month, keep happy, safe and learning.
School will close on Friday 28th June for the summer. Play Together will run summer camps throughout July and August. The July Programme will run for children in our Integrated Classes in July. If you need to contact Simon, he will be available by appointment in July. The school office reopens on August 21st 2019 and children begin school for a half day on August 28th.
Board of Management
The Board of Management will publish its agreed report on this newsletter in the future. Until now, the agreed report was available in paper form on request. The next Board Meeting will take place in April and the agreed report will be published at the end of the April newsletter.
Sports' Day will be held on Thursday, June 20th, the day before the 6th class graduation. We'd love to see as many of you as possible here at the school.
Similarly to last year, all school reports will be made available to you on the school's Aladdin App. If you do not have access to the Aladdin App on your phone, you can log in on any Internet Browser. Please contact the office and we will help you get set up. If you do not have Internet access, please contact the school and we will arrange to print it for you. Reports will generally be available from 21st June.
