Driver: In our last show I drove. I don't feel I was as confident as usual but this was likely because I wanted it to go as well as possible. I am happy that I ended the show at exactly 15 minutes. I also wrote the script for this show which went really well. For this show I did miss a couple of cues, but to improve I'd stay calm and focus.
Comp-op: For our first show (6th October 2017), I was allocated the role of comp-op. I took this quite positively and I genuinely think I carried out my role to the best of my ability. For this show we used scripts and our pre-corded poems.
Presenter: The second radio show we did was slightly different to the first one. The roles switched around and we had to work with a different set of poems that were not ours. In this radio show, my role was to be a presenter. This meant I had to make sure that any sound and any music was played at the directed time in the script; including playing the poems at the right time and playing the music at the right time. Teacher feedback can be found aside and a self assessment can be found below.
Show 1 - You supported Nicholas very heavily. Remember the driver runs the show; they're the key point between the comp-op and presenters. It was impressive to see you work completely across the script and the show but your job is to stay in your role; which you did perfectly.
Response - I understand that I came out of my role and so I took this feedback into future shows. I appreciate your acknowledgement to my work across the script and the show itself.
Show 2 - I was impressed, you stretched yourselves in regard to the strictly created links. Make sure you concentrate on your self before your co-host. Your a supportive go presenter. Don't hold the mic but stay close to it.
Response - I think was quite secure during the show but at times I couldn't here the drivers prompts so it was a matter of lip reading at times. I tried to bring this up but there might have been a slight glitch with the mics.
Show 3 - You were loose on levels and cues at the start. You needed some prompts. I was surprised because you were quite on it when supporting others. I know the skills are there but you didn't have practice. Good call on second track, good communication with presents and increasingly fluent and confident on the drive. You'll be a good driver with more practice.
Response - I don't think I was too lose during the show, but I know I left the mic up once and the levels were slightly high. But in consideration to the levels, it was between 5 + 6, the song was just loud which caused an error. However, I adjusted these errors as they came about. I do think I was successful at ending the show at exactly 15:00 minutes.
Show 4 - You projected well and were pretty much consistent with good levels in your delivery. You worked quite well in supporting Nicholas.
Response - I accept this feedback and will continue to work in this way. I do think I have developed from the first show to now.
