"Science can be very inconvenient to various entities and institutions. And we see scientists who will compromise themselves to try to receive the funding and the adoration of those institutions and entities. Science is the pursuit of truth....We are seekers of truth. That's what scientists are. What a glorious thing -- to get paid to seek truth. It doesn't pay that well, but it's a glorious job nonetheless.....Every scientist ought to be scrutinized. Scientists should never think they know the truth. Even the declarations the past few years of, 'Believe the science' -- no, that is anti-scientific. A scientist must be so humble that he or she is constantly prepared to dump their hypotheses if they've been shown to be wrong...through our training, we should be humble enough to admit that we do not know everything."

This is a log of my notes over the years on my research into various things -- compiled in one place as reference, in case others also find it useful.
You will also see copy-and-pasted sections....I will get to formatting things properly eventually!!
I also take requests if you stumble on a placeholder for information you are interested in (send me a message and I will prioritize adding my notes for those).
Please note that I copiously insert images I've found on the web and I do not have any rights to them (except for a few of my photos), and unless it's art where I indicate the artist, I didn't bother citing where I pulled them from (you can see in the HTML source code where these images are taken from), but as I use images for educational illustration and this is a personal scratchpad for the academic purpose of sharing info and for just sharing things I find cool (that no one except for me looks at anyway), I hope no one will object...but let me know if you do, if by a miracle you chance on this site, and I will, of course, not use your image.
