Pomping with Pride

“Dauntless she goes marching by, banners high,” is exactly what Badin fans did the Friday night of September 29. The night of the big Homecoming game fans lined the streets leading up to Virgil Schwarm Stadium. Floats were filled with cheering students ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade shouting as loud as they can, cheering on our Badin Rams. With Badin pride, the floats were pomped, painted and ready to make their victory march. With sweet treats being handed out to all the bystanders, it really made for a good time. The hoots and hollers from all the fans could be heard throughout Hamilton. Badin spirit was truly beaming bright the entire night. As the floats had made it to their final destination, at the stadium, the cheering did not come to a pause. Shouts of cheering only continued into the stands where everyone was prepared to watch our Badin Rams flame the Falcons.
A Night Under the Stars

Badin's Homecoming took place on Friday, Sept. 30. A Night Under the Stars was a magnificent time filled with fun and laughter. Students danced the night away with friends and dates. The night started off with a few songs which everyone enjoyed including the “Cha- Cha Slide” and “Apache.” Everyone was dancing and having a great time and when a break was needed people sat down and talked at the decorated tables placed next to the twinkling wall. As the night went on people were singing and dancing to their favorite songs, with a few throwbacks like “Party in the USA” and “Baby.”
Finally it was time to announce the Homecoming Court of 2017. The king qualifiers were seniors Benny Wang, Ben Kline, Alex Honeycutt, Daunte DeCello and Seth Klaiber. The queen qualifiers were Sophie Nelson, Maddie Maccio, Icey Xu, Taylor Schermer and Laura Lamermayer. The winners of the homecoming court, Benny Wang and Sophie Nelson, were announced the previous night. They all made their grand entrance at Homecoming with handshakes, thumb wars, jumps, dabs, dances and bowling. Near the end of the night, the King and Queen had their slow dance that announced the closing of Homecoming night. Everyone held up their phone flashlights and made it really feel like a night under the stars. Which in fact was truly a night for all to remember.
