What's Coming Soon in Theaters

Are you looking for something to do this coming spring break or summer? Well you're in luck! There are five new movies coming out to theaters near you.
“Isle of Dogs” is a new movie about the island of Japan being overtaken by an epidemic of dogs. One young kid is looking to find his lost dog on the island as it is quarantined by hundreds of canines. If you want to join the boy on his wild journey to search for his dog mark your calendars for March 30.
If you’re a fan of Marvel you might want to go see “Avengers:Infinity War” on May 4. This movie is a sequel to the movie “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” that aired in 2015. Watch along as Marvel superheroes fight the battles the world can't handle themselves. They will try and stop the city from being overtaken by “bad guys” and face many obstacles in between.
If you don’t think you’ll have time to see a movie this spring, then you could watch any of the 3 movies coming out this summer.
“Deadpool 2” will be coming out on 2, May 18. This movie is a follow-up to the original Deadpool, shown February 16, 2016. This is an American superhero film based as a follow up from the marvel comics character Deadpool.
If your still a kid at heart and have been counting down the days for the release of Incredibles 2, it’s coming soon. Coming out on June 15, this movie is the most looked forward to from students here at Badin. Emma Adams, sophomore, said “The first movie left me hanging.” So she’s been counting down the days until she’s able to watch this movie out in theaters. Our favorite super human family is coming back with the youngest member of the clan. Baby Jack Jack is here and has some crazy powers. Stay tuned to watch how Jack Jack is able to magnate his powers and see how the incredible family keeps the world safe.
The final movie coming out seems to be a highly anticipated one. This coming spring “Truth Or Dare” comes out on April 13. “A seemingly harmless game of truth or dare turns deadly when someone -- or something -- begins to punish those who tell a lie or refuse a dare.” This is an exciting thriller movie that’ll definitely get you to scream.
Hopefully one of these movies has peaked your interest and given you something to look forward to this coming spring/summer and I might be seeing you in theaters next.
Black Panther blows up Box Office

“The Black Panther” movie is a very popular movie. Unfortunately, 73% of Badin students have not seen it. The movie is about a young man in a secret city who inherits powers from the Black Panther God. To get these powers, he drank some purple goop and then become superhuman. To learn more, you will have to watch the movie for yourself.
Now what is so special about the movie? Overall, the movie has already made over $1 billion , according to “Variety.” The movie made $20 million in its first day of showing in China. All over the world, “The Black Panther” has been very popular and has made significant amounts of money. In only the fourth weekend of its release it has made $40 million. This makes it the second most popular superhero movie ever.
Another one of the reasons that the movie is so popular is because of the majority of the actors are African-American. Many people like “The Black Panther” because of the African-American role in the movie. The role of these people in the movie is important because usually the main character or hero in the movie is a white man. Everyone wants to see the movie, Chadwick Boseman said, “there’s not just Black people or people of African decent that want to see it, I think everybody wants to see it.”
