The Man of Mystery
By David Reigle
Dexter Harold Carpenter is a bodybuilder and weight lifter with a strong personality and massive muscles. When Carpenter was in high school his favorite subject was history and favorite sport was wrestling. His wrestling coach, Dave Madding, was his idol and mentor. Carpenter also wrestled in the Navy for the All Navy Wrestling Team. Now Carpenter competes in bodybuilding and weightlifting competitions, where he has won many medals.
He is currently a wrestling and tennis coach at Badin High School where he has worked for 14 years. Coaching comes easy for Carpenter because of his athletic background. When he is not coaching you can find him in the hallway singing a tune. In addition to his wrestling talents he is also a very good singer and actor. He has taken these talents to St. Barts Community Theater where he played the Tin Man in the “Wizard of Oz”.
If you think that Coach Dexter isn't awesome then you are probably thinking of the wrong person. Carpenter is talented, athletic and an overall cool dude. If you want to meet him then you could join the wrestling or tennis team.
The ''Goat'' With Goats
By David Reigle
If you go to Badin then you probably know Mr.Imhoff. He was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio. When he was at Badin as a student he studied sociology and played basketball and baseball. After high school he went to college and majored in education.
Now he coaches basketball at Badin, and coaches his son, Logan Imhoff. If coaching basketball wasn't cool enough then you should know that he also coaches the JV fishing club in his backyard. He has his very own pond, so he can go fishing whenever he wants, and the JV fishing club is happy to use it. He walks by and says “Did you catch anything?”, which is very inspiring to catch a fish.
If you have ever gone to Mr. Imhoff’s house to fish you would pass by his three awesome goats, Allie, Abby, and Josie. They eat hay, grass, and grains. Mr.Imhoff likes his goats and has had them for eight years.
Mr. Imhoff is pretty cool and you should say “Hey Bro, how's it going?” to him and get to know more about him, his goats and maybe that one time he went skydiving.
