OVERVIEW OF COURSE
Students of this course should study business in a variety of contexts (e.g. large/small, UK focused/ global, service/manufacturing).The course encourages students to follow business developments and think critically about contemporary business issues.
The content studied is based on real business situations and the interconnecting nature of business activities. By examining and thinking critically about real business situations as they study the subject, students will gain an insight into different contexts which will help them to understand the key issues in any situation. They will learn how decisions are made with quantitative and non-quantitative data and the impact of those on stakeholders.
The role of ethics and technology is studied, and students can compare and contrast business case studies this with other situations and apply their understanding

Parents/carers can also help by encouraging students to make a timetable which emphasises a great deal of independent study which is crucial for success.
