Madison Cline

out of sight. out of mind.

is an exploration of narrative through the lens of ephemera. It is a love letter to love letters. It is a self portrait and an homage to everyone who has
ever left. It is an appreciation of the physical manifestation of a memory. It is a warning of the dangers of sentimentality. It is entirely fictional and it
is completely true.

My name is Madison Cline and I’m an artist.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been the one that people turn to when they’re in need of something creative. One of my greatest achievements was when I convinced my mom to get me the 48 pack of Crayola crayons (with the sharpener built into the box). That same joy and passion for my art has continued to this day.

I value both aesthetics and utility in my art. My designs are rooted in the idea that they can do what they’re needed to do while being visually compelling. I’m also driven by the desire to use my knowledge from various other mediums to inform my designs; looking at the world from a new perspective and bringing different interpretations to classic concepts. As a designer, I pride myself on my ability to adapt to any style. Just as I’ve never been one to stick to one medium, I’m constantly branching out and exploring different styles and giving my interpretation of them.

The world deserves more art. I believe that art is one of the best ways to communicate, and in today’s world, communication is more necessary than ever.

I am an artist and I want to make art not only for you, but with you.
