Kayla Kelly

I have always had a love and interest for mythical creatures and the fantasy genre in general, ever since I was a child. Books and movies such as Percy Jackson, The Dark Crystal, and Labyrinth were a large part of my childhood and piqued my interest in the beasts and species that inhabited the fantasy worlds. This interest has grown into my love and enjoyment of creature design. When choosing my thesis topic, mythical creatures were one of the first subjects to come to mind. I also wanted to incorporate mythical creatures from around the world, and show the visual differences between them. Every mythical animal has a cultural significance, so I wanted to discuss what that is for each creature that is included in my thesis. I want to showcase the various mythical creatures; some of them may be familiar to people and some may be completely new.
