Bird fossils are extremely rare due to how light, fragile & hollow their bones are. What if dragons were real & they had hollow bones that simply didn’t fossilize? This opens the possibility that flying reptiles such as dragons may not have been just myths. It’s a bit sad that people today tend to completely dismiss anything remotely fantastical from yesteryear, due to the fact that most people in the past lacked any kind of formal education, resulting in a perceived lack of credibility. The term dinosaur was coined in the 1800s; I believe before that, they were always just called dragons. The dragon, for the most part, is a very basic concept with infinite variations. We must take into account that dragons are one of the very few creatures that pop up in most cultures around the world; in the ones that don’t large birds take their place.
