PlugdIn is a music discovery application designed to connect music listeners with small music artists. Inspired by the struggle for smaller musicians to support themselves and connect with audiences in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, PlugdIn is the first music discovery app to bring artists centerstage, helping long-lasting relationships between fans and artists to thrive. An in-depth onboarding flow, dating-app-influenced discovery page, and dedicated feed for music announcements and friend recommendations are just some of the app’s features that go a long way towards keeping listeners engaged with artists and connected with fellow fans.

The aesthetics of PlugdIn’s user interface and promotional materials drive home the unique dichotomy of nostalgia and newness that the Gen Z and Millennial target demographics have embraced visually and sonically. Bright, flashy colors radiate from the darkness, harkening back to the neon glow
of the 80’s. Each ad in the poster series calls back to a major underground music movement from decades past —60’s psychedelic rock, 80’s punk, and 90’s rap respectively. Similar to the music stylings of the hundreds of talented artists you’ll encounter on PlugdIn, these classic influences are melded with contemporary flair to create an end product that is bold and electrifying.
