Ridiculously Hard Level Beaten in Geometry Dash!
Cristobal Corrales
Just three weeks ago, the pro player “Zoink” verified the level “NULLSCAPES,” a top 2-10 level with the only gamemode being the robot, and featuring countless hard timings. Zoink is a professional player and is considered the best by many. He is known as the verifier of several other Geometry Dash levels, such as (but not limited to): Acheron, Tidal Wave, Avernus, and more.
Nullscapes is an extremely difficult robot-based level that gets its difficulty from its precision required in the inputs of the level. To see the level, click here. While it is not considered to be the new hardest level in Geometry Dash, it is still considered to rank 2-10 on the demon list (a list that contains the hardest rated levels).
Zoink is a 16-year-old Geometry Dash player from Kansas with over 240K subscribers on Youtube. As stated earlier, he is considered by many to be the best player in the game, as he is the second person to ever complete all 75 of the hardest levels in Geometry at any point in time. It took him more than ninety-thousand attempts and six months to beat Nullscapes, much less than Tidal Wave. Unfortunately, we cannot link to Zoink's complete video because it contains some coarse language.
Controversy
After the level being beaten and published in-game, people began to play it by themselves for fun. However, many quickly realized that the level had a system implemented into it that prevented a certain mod from being used in the level. This mod was none other than Clicks Between Frames.
This is a mod created with the intent of making inputs more accurate regardless of your platform or framerate. This mod has been criticized by the creator of Geometry Dash himself, RopTop, for making the game too easy, when in fact, it merely made inputs more accurate. The creator of the level “ItzKiba” was faced with a moral dilemma when deciding to create the anti-mod system. He could either allow Zoink to beat Nullscapes with the mod, but risk the level not getting rated, thus not ending up on the list. Or, he could disallow Zoink to beat Nullscapes with the mod, guaranteeing the level being rated, but potentially inciting a riot within the community.
Kiba ended up going with the latter. The level was in fact, rated, but the mod blocker caused mass outrages in the community when people tried to play the level for themselves. Kiba’s reasoning for this was that since Nullscapes relies almost entirely on minimal timing inputs, the Click Between Frames mod would make most of the inputs in the level way too easy.
This is another hacked completion of Nullscapes. However, it contains footage of the anti-mod blocker at 1:44.
In the end, ItzKiba disallowed Zoink beat the level with the mod, people got angry on Twitter/X, and memes were made about the blocker.
