Red Dead Redemption 2: Is it worth it?

Yes. Yes it is. Not only does it have one of the best stories of any video game, but its open world is phenomenal, and the gameplay is amazing. This game is considered one of, if not the best, video games of all time. I’m Jacobo Handal, and I will tell you why you should buy Red Dead Redemption 2 by Rockstar Games.

First off, the story: This game follows an outlaw named Arthur Morgan in 1899 who is part of a gang called the Van Der Linde Gang led by Dutch Van der Linde and Hosea Mathews. Throughout the game, you connect with each member of the gang, from robbing banks to taking a stroll, each character has their own personalities and traits. Arthur Morgan is considered one of the best characters in all video game history because of the compelling story about a changing world, finding one’s place in the world, and sacrifice. Arthur Morgan changes a lot throughout the story, and that is what makes him great. I know I’m not going too in depth in the story because this game should be experienced blindly, don’t do what I did. YOU WILL CRY AT THE END.

Second, the gameplay… It’s addictive. From riding your horse to shooting up enemy gangs and the law, this game is extremely fun. This game has a tad bit of input delay, but that just adds to the charm. This game's combat always has you on your toes because it is just that good. Riding your horse around the big open world is just extremely fun, you really feel like you're inside the world at all times. Now, this game is not challenging, but it’s not easy either. It’s not Dark Souls-level difficulty, but it can be hard sometimes.

Finally, the open world: This open world is huge and is considered one of the best and biggest of all time. You constantly find new things and events across the world as there is just an overwhelming amount of things to uncover and explore. The open world is very detailed and is one of Red Dead Redemption 2’s strong points. Throughout the world, you will find new quests, and encounters.
