Athlete's perspective:

From a young age, kids participate in the sports they are most interested in, dreaming that one day they can participate like those older athletes and travel to San Pedro to represent the school. ABSH is not only a competition; it's a whole feeling, a memory that we athletes will always remember. The feeling of having an official uniform with your last name and repping the AST logo is something all athletes will definitely miss one day. Here are some words from our current seniors and their ABSH experiences!

What I will miss the most about the ABSH trips is obviously playing with my teammates on the court and experiencing the thrill of winning together, but I will also miss the small moments I had with them. I will miss singing to the top of our lungs on the bus, laughing till our stomach hurts, and the simple joy of being together as a team, as a family. One specific memory of an ABSH that I will always remember will be throwing the ball into the air the last few seconds of playing on a basketball court, sweating my AST’s jersey. My only advice for younger generations is to enjoy it while it lasts. Those three days in ABSH are unforgettable memories and ones I wish I could go back to. Yes, go on trips to win, give it your all, but also have fun. Enjoy all the moments, don't stress out, and have a blast.

What I will miss most will be playing against other teams and having the excitement when winning the tournaments. I will also miss spending time with my friends during the trips. A memory I will always remember would be my first win in ABSH basketball, because I got to play with my favorite team and I got to build myself as a better athlete. An advice I have for the younger generations would be to not be afraid of making mistakes while playing, because mistakes help you improve as a player. Always give your 100%.

As Maria Lucia mentioned, sweating the AST jersey is a privilege and something she will definitely miss after high school.
