Mrs. Cooper's 5th Grade Class

Me in 5th grade!

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited for this school year! A lot of students ask me, "If you could have any job, what would your job be?" I feel so lucky that my answer is TEACHING! I love being a teacher, and I'm so grateful I get to be a 5th grade teacher - my personal favorite grade growing up. My 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Lyons, ultimately inspired me to be in the career I'm in now. She has since passed away, and I like to think that I am honoring her legacy by being the best 5th grade teacher I can be!

I have had an interesting education and career - I graduated from Brigham Young University with a double major in Elementary Education and Music Education. I started out teaching Special Education, and then I co-directed a class for children who struggled with behavior. This is now my second year teaching 5th grade, and I absolutely love it!

I'm originally from St. Louis, Missouri and I have lived in Utah for nine years. I met my husband Cory here, and we have been married a little over two years. I love animals, going to the gym, traveling and experiencing new things, being in nature, and eating ice cream.

I can't wait to get to know all of you better! This is going to be a FABULOUS year!

Love, Mrs. Jackie Cooper
