Weekly Schedule for Week 3
  • We know this is a stressful time for many of you and your kids. We added some "Mindful Minutes" on Google Classroom. These are 1 minute "exercises" to help experience mindfulness. I, myself, love to use them and they help me refocus!
  • I loved meeting students on Google Meet! I know a lot of kids have questions, so I will hold two math help sessions a week, and Mrs. Hamilton will hold an additional two study sessions for any questions (not just math). Please help students get on Google Meet on time and make sure they have paper and pencil. Links can be found on Google Classroom.
        • Mrs. Hamilton Study Session: Monday 10:00 - 11:00
        • Mrs. Cooper Math Help: Tuesday: 12:30 - 1:30
        • Mrs. Hamilton Study Session: Wednesday 10:00 - 11:00
        • Mrs. Cooper Math Help: Thursday: 12:30 - 1:30

WHAT WE'RE LEARNING THIS WEEK

Please click HERE for this week's schedule!

Literacy: Students are learning how compare and contrast two main ideas of multiple texts, primarily informational.

Math: Students are learning how to multiply and divide fractions. This week students are focusing on reviewing what they've learned and reviewing for our upcoming test. We will be taking a test on Friday. We know that math can be challenging to teach at home! Below are two videos that teach YOU each method so you can support your kids :)

Social Studies: We are starting our Westward Expansion unit! We will be focusing on Lewis and Clark and the Louisiana Purchase, as well as treaties with Native Americans. They will then be making a "scrapbook" via Google Slides after Spring Break to show what they've learned.

Thanks again for all you are doing to help! Hope you had wonderful weekend!

Love, Mrs. Cooper
