We are excited to invite our current 6th grade students and their families to a special “Celebration of Learning” event at Oak Canyon Junior High.
As part of their Parent Teacher Conferences on February 26, 2026, Oak Canyon will host a Celebration of Learning event from 4:00-6:00 pm, and our current 6th grade students and their families are invited to attend. Each team and department will be showcasing highlights of what students have been learning and creating this semester and throughout the year. This is a wonderful opportunity for future Oak Canyon Eagles to see the school in action, explore classes and programs, and build excitement about junior high.
Please note that this event is optional and does not replace the 6th grade day assembly on March 4 or a separate registration event for families on March 11. For additional information about welcoming and registration events for incoming 7th grade students at Oak Canyon, click here.
Our February Counseling Newsletter has been prepared by our school counselor, Mrs. Finch. This month’s focus is on healthy friendships, with lessons tailored to each grade level. Students are learning that kindness matters more than popularity, how to recognize and respect boundaries, and how to use “I Messages” to communicate feelings in a positive and respectful way. We invite you to take a few minutes to review the newsletter and continue these important conversations at home.
Our Quick Quack Wash Pass fundraiser is happening now! When you purchase a wash pass, up to 50 percent of the proceeds go directly to the Rocky Mountain Elementary PTA. It is an easy way to support our school PTA while keeping your car clean.
The passes will be delivered straight to your email and can be used at any Quick Quack Car Wash location across the country, so be sure to share the link family and friends, even those who live out of state. The fundraiser runs through February 28.

Parents, we are in need of volunteer help at the Rocky Mountain school store for the rest of the year.
The Rocky Mountain 6th grade Student Council runs the Cougar Store, a place where students can use tickets earned for following school expectations to purchase prizes. Volunteers directly assist the student council members in running the store.
Volunteer times vary by day. Please take a look to see if you might be able to share your time with the school in this way.
