Winter Break begins on Monday, December 22 and continues through Monday, January 5. Teachers will return on Monday, January 5 for a teacher work day to prepare curriculum for the new year, but students will not attend school on this day. Students will return on Tuesday, January 6. We wish all of our families a restful and enjoyable break!
Rocky Mountain is home to a Portuguese Dual Language Immersion program. The district lottery for incoming first grade students opened December 15 and closes January 24. The application available on the district website.
To learn more, Principal Eagar has prepared a short three minute informational video. Rocky Mountain will also host informational meetings on January 13 at 9:45 am and 1:00 pm, which will include an overview of the program and a tour of the Portuguese classrooms.

The Utah County Health Department wants to remind families that one of the best ways to protect your child and others from the flu is by getting the annual flu shot. The vaccine helps reduce the spread of illness and helps keep our classrooms safe and healthy.
The Utah Chess Association will host the 2026 State Elementary Chess Championship on Saturday, January 31, 2026. This all day tournament is open to elementary students from across the state and provides an opportunity for young players to compete at a statewide level.
