Next week we’re celebrating National School Lunch Week with a special “Taste Around the World” menu. Each day, students can try a delicious meal inspired by a different country. For students who prefer familiar flavors, a traditional option will be available each day. Here's a look at the menu:
Tuesday, Oct. 21 – China: Teriyaki Chicken & Potstickers (or Hamburger)
Wednesday, Oct. 22 – El Salvador: Pupusas (or Mini Corn Dogs)
Thursday, Oct. 23 – France: Ham and Cheese Croissant (or Hot Dog)
Friday, Oct. 24 – Italy: Specialty Pizza (or Uncrustables)
We can’t wait for students to explore new tastes and enjoy a fun week of global cuisine!
In two weeks, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, a national PTA-sponsored campaign encouraging students to live a drug-free life. Each day has a fun dress-up theme to help remind students to make healthy choices:
Monday, Oct. 27 – Pajama Day: Follow Your Dream, Live a Happy Life!
Tuesday, Oct. 28 – Crazy Hair or Socks Day: From Head to Toe, I'm Drug Free!
Wednesday, Oct. 29 – Wear Red and sign the pledge to stay drug free
Thursday, Oct. 30 – Wear Bright Colors: Stay Bright and Drug Free!
Friday, Oct. 31 – Wear your Halloween Costume: Say Boo to Drugs!
See the flyer for more details and join us in celebrating healthy, drug-free choices!

If you’re able to give a little time that day, we would greatly appreciate it. Time slots are over the lunch hour. More volunteer opportunities will be added throughout the year.
