After the school buses have dismissed at the end of the day, parents are welcome to use the southern loop in front of the school for student pickup. While the buses are present, please do not use this loop so they can exit safely. Buses typically leave within seven minutes, after which the southern loop is available for pickup. We hope this helps reduce lines and wait times.
Next week, our 2nd and 6th grade students will participate in exciting off-site learning opportunities. On Tuesday, October 7, 2nd graders will visit the Equestrian Park in Highland, Utah, while our 6th graders will travel to the Alpine School District Space Center at Central Elementary in Pleasant Grove.
We have two upcoming opportunities for families to connect with our school. Our next School Community Council meeting will take place on Wednesday at 7:45 AM, and our next PTA meeting will be Thursday afternoon at 1:00 PM. We invite parents to join us and stay involved in supporting our students and school community.
Our school has a clear procedure that toys and similar personal items from home are not allowed at school. Recently, we have seen students bring trading cards, Pokémon cards, and other trinkets. These items often create challenges, whether from the perceived unfairness of a trade, the loss of a cherished belonging, or conflicts among peers. To support fairness and avoid unnecessary distractions, we ask families to help reinforce the school’s expectations about toys from home. Please take a moment to review the following procedure with your child:
In general, students should not bring toys from home to school. This includes toys in the more traditional sense, as well as such items as trading cards, collector cards, Legos, and figurines. However, students may bring reasonable play equipment to use outside during recess, such as jump ropes or balls (hard baseballs are not allowed at school because they pose a safety hazard). It is the responsibility of the child to keep track of anything brought from home. The school is not responsible for lost or damaged equipment that is brought to school.

Keeping your child’s meal account up to date helps ensure they can enjoy school meals without interruption. If your child currently has a negative meal balance, we encourage you to check their account and make a payment as soon as possible.
In Alpine School District, we use LINQ Connect to monitor school meal account balances and make adding money easy. You can even set up automatic monthly payments so your child’s account is always funded. To visit the LINQ Connect website, click here.
Get ready to hit the mats! Registration is now open for the 2025–2026 Timpanogos wrestling season. Practices begin in November, and students can join either recreational or club teams depending on their interests. For more information, check out this flyer or visit www.timpanogoswrestling.com.

The Rocky Mountain 6th grade Student Council runs the Cougar Store, a place where students can use tickets earned for following school expectations to purchase prizes. Volunteers directly assist the student council members in running the store. Volunteer times vary by day. Thank you to all those who have signed up for volunteer time slots in September! We have several open time slots in October and would love your help in filling them. Please take a look to see if you might be able to share your time with the school in this way. Additional dates will be added in the future.
