This is a final reminder that the first grade Dual Language Immersion lottery window closes tomorrow, January 24, at 5:00 pm. The application can be filled out on the district’s DLI website.
If you know a family who is still deciding whether Dual Language Immersion is the right fit for their child, we encourage you to share this article that explores the unique benefits of beginning with Portuguese. Portuguese is the gateway to future language learning and trilingualism!
Parent teacher conferences are an important opportunity for families and teachers to connect and support student learning together. Winter conferences will be held February 4-5, with most conference times available between 4:00 and 8:00 pm. Specific availability may vary by teacher, so please review any guidance shared directly by your child’s teacher.
Conferences can be scheduled using Skyward Family Access from any computer or mobile device. Tutorials are available in both written and video formats. If you need assistance, contact your child’s teacher or the school office at 801-610-8117. If you have more than one child, we recommend leaving time between appointments to accommodate for any backups that may occur.

We are excited to host a Scholastic Book Fair during the week of Parent Teacher Conferences. The fair will be open during both conference evenings, as well as throughout the week. Families may visit from 8:00am to 2:30pm on Monday and Tuesday (February 2-3), and from 8:00am to 7:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday (February 4-5). Students will also have opportunities to visit during recess, after school, or at other times approved by their teachers.
February 6 is a teacher work day on the district calendar. Students have the day off as teachers have additional time to prepare lessons, grade assignments, and complete other preparation work.
We're now registering kindergarten students for the 2026-2027 school year! For all the details on registration, program choices, and important deadlines, click here.

The Rocky Mountain 6th grade Student Council runs the Cougar Store, a place where students can use tickets earned for following school expectations to purchase prizes. Volunteers directly assist the student council members in running the store. Volunteer times vary by day.
Thank you to all those who signed up for volunteer time slots for the first half of the year! We’re now looking to fill time slots for the remaining half of the year. Please take a look to see if you might be able to share your time with the school in this way.
