Families who applied to next year’s first-grade Dual Language Immersion program have now been notified of their current status. As of 5:00pm this evening, the district sent automated emails to families indicating whether their student has been accepted into the program or placed on the waitlist during this initial phase of the application process. If for some reason you applied but did not receive such an email, please contact the school this coming week at (801) 610-8117.
Parent/teacher conferences are taking place this coming Wednesday and Thursday, February 4-5. Specific conference arrangements may vary by teacher, so please review any guidance shared directly by your child’s teacher.
Conferences can be scheduled using Skyward Family Access from any computer or mobile device. Tutorials are available in both written and video formats. If you need assistance, contact your child’s teacher or the school office at 801-610-8117. If you have more than one child, we recommend leaving time between appointments to accommodate for any backups that may occur.

Rocky Mountain will host a Scholastic Book Fair this coming week! The fair is open at the following times:
8:00am to 2:30pm, Monday and Tuesday (February 2-3)
8:00am to 7:30pm, Wednesday and Thursday (February 4-5)
We are in need of parent volunteers who can help us with the Book Fair. Volunteer sign ups are now open. If you are able to help, please sign up here.
Beginning February 9, the district will transition from automated attendance phone calls to text message notifications when a student absence has not yet been excused by a parent or guardian. Families will receive a text message that includes the student’s name and school, along with instructions for excusing the absence through Skyward Family Access or by calling the school. These text messages will automatically be translated into the home language listed in Skyward.
We're now registering kindergarten students for the 2026-2027 school year! For all the details on registration, program choices, and important deadlines, click here.
As a heads-up, Valentines Day class parties for most classes will be taking place on Friday, February 13, from 1:00-2:00pm. Teachers will communicate specific plans or details if parties will be taking place outside of this time frame.
We are thrilled to share that Mrs. Holbrook has been selected as Teacher of the Month through the Rogers & Russell Teacher Recognition program! This program honors outstanding educators in the Pleasant Grove and Lindon area schools. We are so excited for her and proud to celebrate her incredible work. Thank you, Mrs. Holbrook, for all you do for our Rocky Mountain students and our school community!
The Rocky Mountain 6th grade Student Council runs the Cougar Store, a place where students can use tickets earned for following school expectations to purchase prizes. Volunteers directly assist the student council members in running the store. Volunteer times vary by day.
Thank you to all those who signed up for volunteer time slots for the first half of the year! We’re now looking to fill time slots for the remaining half of the year. Please take a look to see if you might be able to share your time with the school in this way.

Our staff has noticed an increase in student cell phone and smartwatch use in the mornings, especially among upper-grade students. As a reminder, students are required to keep all devices turned off or in airplane mode and stored in their backpacks from the time they arrive at school until the final bell. This school procedure is in accordance with Utah state law (Utah Code 53G-7-227) and Alpine School District Policy 5250. If your child has a cell phone or other electronic device, please review this expectation with them.
In partnership with InMotion Sports, we are excited to share that an after school tennis program will be starting soon at Rocky Mountain. This program offers students a fun and active opportunity to learn tennis fundamentals, build skills, and enjoy time with friends after school.
Program details, including dates, times, grade levels, cost, and registration information, can be found in the flyer linked below. Families are encouraged to review the information and register soon, as space may be limited.
