May 24th, 2026! What, already? That means June will be here in only a week give or take a bit! Let's slow down and enjoy May a bit more.
The critter in the background photo above is a huge-eyed monster. You can tell from this picture how VERY many little eyelets it must have. Imagine if it had a photo program of its own and tried to see all the images of US there would be!
This is the Dame's Rocket that will be decorating the front sidewalks for a few weeks. And second is the very first bud for the soon-to-come Black Raspberries.
A sure sign of Spring/Summer. A Robin is still nesting on the front porch. Here she is carrying a worm. I think she is going to eat this one since the babies haven't hatched yet. She seems to be standing on one foot - I'm not sure why.
Here is a pretty blue flower (whose name I don't know) and some Peonies budding up. The flowers of the Peonies will be huge and heavy - they are hard to photograph when they are farther along since the flower heads are so heavy. But we'll do our best!
Here are a couple more green things. The first is a young conifer. I don't remember seeing it last year - what can it be? The next may be a kind of Primrose, according to Kathleen Seidl's suggestion last week.
Another shot of Deb's Dogwood, especially on the lower left of this photo.
Here is one of the large orange flowers that will soon be showing off along the front sidewalk. And whatever this last one is, the light caught the colors just weirdly enough for a nice spring shot!
Well, that seems to be about it for now. Have another good week and see you back here next Sunday! Love, Martha
OH PS! If you see something in here you like, there just may be enough of it to share with a few people. Just let me know (email is fine)...
