Welcome to August 23, 2026!  This may be a shortish blog but things are changing out there. Who knows?  What a strange part of the year this is.  In just a few days I will have yet another birthday - number 86.  I can barely believe this.  I do seem to be slowing down quite a bit, especially physically.  Thank goodness my house has many stairs to climb. My room is on the second floor, and so is the guest room -- WELCOME if you would like to visit.  I hope you realize that when I say "Thank goodness" it is because otherwise when would I get any exercise?

My yard is pretty much self-sustaining.  There are some wonderful creatures that come to visit.  The Dragonflies are wonderful and plentiful these days.  The same one (I believe it is an Autumn Meadowmark) will perch for quite a while on a familiar spot and seem to be keeping an eye on you!   Picture 2 below shows a pastel Fly.  And picture 3 is of a recurrent Fly.
