Welcome to June 14, 2026. Summer seemed to be taking her own sweet time about coming to Albion, but I think she now has it firmly in mind as we move into the warmer season! But who can tell for sure? June 7 was a very short blog but this week we have quite a few pictures for you!
Here is a pair of Thistle Tortoise Beetles. You saw a lot of these last week. The next seems to be a lost bewildered stranger wondering where in heck he is! Second is a beetle that I found in the drain a few days ago.
Here is a Humped Bug found in the Thistles last week. Second is one of the same kind of Bug with an Ant checking him/her out.
Here you see a mystery Bug, another humpbacked bug, and a green Thistle Tortoise Beetle.
Here are a couple of mating pairs of those green Thistle Tortoise Beetles.
Here is that Praying Mantis egg case that we've been watching - still no hatching.
Here are a few spiders for those who can't get enough of them! We labeled this last one as a mystery last week and it still seems to be one!
Here is a little assortment of mystery bugs.
I love these good old American Toads.
We're waiting for the fishes to grow - the second picture here is of some fish we used to have! Now we have the big white one and an assortment of tiny (but growing) red ones. This second picture is a very old one!!
Here is somewhat of a mystery. I took this odd picture but have no clue what I thought it was then either! It might be one of those mantis cases that someone attached to a stick!
Well, my friends, it is now getting onto supper time and so I had better say "Bon Appetit" and see you next week.
Oh, I do have one more picture. Polly Moore's daughter took this lovely Moth picture. I will still have to find out what kind it is!
Well, thanks everyone for tuning in to this week's blog. I hope you find a lot of lovely things in your own back yard this week! Spring is just about here!
