The Caretaker's House

The Caretaker’s House is the brand new community provision based on-site here at Unity City Academy in collaboration with Middlesbrough College.

We are working in partnership to create an adult learning and well-being centre right on your doorstep. This project is being carefully designed, with members of our community, to provide a central space for adults to meet and learn new skills. The timetable of activities/ opportunities to get involved in will be updated regularly as these will change to suit the requests and needs of our local community, responding to your ideas and what you would like to happen within this learning space.

We hold a coffee morning every Thursday morning and would love to see you there - pop in to take a look around, have a chat and take some well-deserved you time.

FareShare is a charity aimed at reducing food waste in the UK, working with large supermarkets to help to save our planet. Reducing food waste is environmentally important as it keeps food out of landfills. It makes economic sense at the small scale, by lowering household food bills and at the large scale by reducing disposal costs for restaurants, processors and farmers. FareShare does this by rescuing good quality surplus food that would otherwise have gone to waste and sending it to almost 11,000 community groups across the United Kingdom.

Pop in to our Eco-shop every Friday afternoon to help support FareShare and our quest to save our planet!

Donations to support this fantastic charity are welcomed in the form of voluntary support to help with the project and/ or financial.
