Parent and Carer opportunities
Unity City Academy places strong emphasis on working together with parents and carers. We offer a range of parent and carer programmes, workshops and coffee mornings throughout the academic year. We aim to provide a range of services that encompass both educational and practical sessions, as well as opportunities for parents to share their own knowledge and expertise and gain support from one another.
During the year we offer a range of workshops to support the work done in the Academy around communication, socialisation and independence. These include cooking on a budget, slow cooking, teen talk and family links training. Please contact the Academy and ask to speak with Jack Banks for more information.
We offer early help through Mr Jack Banks, and can refer into Middlesbrough Council if you require further support. Please call the Academy and ask to speak with Jack Banks for more information.
Additional Specialist Support
At Unity City Academy we also have our own dedicated School Councillor, Student Welfare Officer and Mental Health Team. For more information please contact the Academy and ask to speak with Jack Banks.
Parent Community Advisory Board (PCAB)
The PCAB exists to bring together the Academy and the local community in an attempt to improve the experience and life chances of our young people. We would love to welcome you onto the board and are always looking for new members. For more information please contact school and request to speak with Miss Stockton.
