Free School Meals at Aylward Academy
Students at Aylward Academy receive Free Schools Meals where their family receive certain welfare benefits. Families eligible for Free School Meals receive any of the following benefits:
Income Support
Income-based Job Seeker's Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) that does not exceed £16,190
Working Tax Credit 'run-on' - the payment someone may receive for a further four weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit - you must annually take home £7,400 or less in Universal Credit payments. This equals an average of £616.67 per month in net earned income (after deductions).

Our Catering Services - Aspens
At Aylward we work in partnership with our catering contractor Aspens. The menus they offer are bespoke to our school and based around what the students like and what the current food trends are - but always keeping within the legislative demands made by the Government

Serving an array of hand held hot items with juice or a hot drink for 50p
Morning break
10:55 - 11:15
A variety of healthy snacks and drinks to stave off the hunger pangs. Prices range from 40p-£1.40
Lunch
13:25 - 14:00
A choice of traditional meals and our unique fusion bar
