We aim to be a diverse and inclusive Sixth Form that ensures each of our students reach their full potential.
We believe all of our Sixth Form students must become independent learners. They must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and genuinely demonstrate the passion and resilience needed to succeed.
We have high expectations that our students will respect their peers, teachers and members of the public to create both a positive working environment within the school but also to give a good account of themselves outside of the school. Our Sixth Form students are positive role models to the younger students within the Academy and we strongly believe that they should play an active role in supporting the Academy in striving for excellence.
Lift Aylward Sixth Form is a highly successful and inclusive provision that proudly serves the needs of its community. In 2023/24, we were ranked the number 1 Sixth Form in Enfield and placed within the top 10% of schools nationally for Value Added, achieving an exceptional score of 0.47—meaning students attained nearly half a grade higher than expected. Nationally, this positioned us 61st out of 4,353 Sixth Form colleges in England, and we were also the top-performing Sixth Form across the LIFT Academies Trust.
In 2025/26, our Value Added score was 0.40, remaining broadly in line with our 2024/25 outcomes and again demonstrating that students achieved almost half a grade above national expectations.
This high level of academic performance has had a direct impact on student progression, with over 90% of our Sixth Form students securing their first or second choice university destination.
We are a thriving, oversubscribed Sixth Form with over 225 students, reflecting the strong reputation and demand for places at Lift Aylward.
