Pupil Leadership
As an academy we recognise the importance of our children's voice and we use our pupil leadership to involve our children in the decision making process, each class elects representatives in a formal election that takes place during the first half term of the academic year. All children are able to stand for election and all children are allowed to vote for one member from their class. These children were voted by their fellow class members in a democratic ballot. We have pupil leaders for various aspects of the academy including Reading, Digital, Well-being and Playground ambassadors.
Following the British Value of Rule of Law we also have selected leaders as Prefects and Head pupils who model the values and expectations in the school and represent the school to visitors and during events. We also have Behaviour Ambassadors who earn this title through achieving Dojos for demonstrating the ROAR values throughout the year.
These leadership groups meet with our teachers and leadership team and helps to make decisions about projects and events that help to improve the academy for everyone.
