Meals & Snacks

School Meals

All meals are prepared on site by our skilled catering team from Hutchinson.  Our menus are designed to provide a healthy balance.  Our menus take into account the various needs of our children and include vegetarian and halal options. As part of our commitment to a healthy lifestyle children are provided with a fresh salad bar and they are encouraged to choose a selection of fresh vegetables and fruit to accompany their meal.

All children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a Free School Meal.  This can either be a hot meal or a packed lunch provided by us.  We encourage all children to take advantage of this.

All school dinners should be paid for in advance via your child's ParentPay account.  (You will be given log in details when your child joins the Academy).

Free School Meals

If you or your partner receives income support (IS), Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (IBJSA), or benefit support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 your child may be entitled to free school meals. Your child may also be entitled to free school meals if you are receipt of Child Tax Credit (but not entitled to working tax credit) and have an income not exceeding £16,190. Please contact the academy office for help, advice and an application form.

Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle

A healthy lifestyle and a clear understanding of their own dietary needs is something that we believe all our children should have access to from EYFS to Yr6. Our Science, PE and PSHE curriculum supports children in understanding how they can lead active, healthy lives.

Water Bottles

Children can bring a water bottle to school to enable them to access water throughout the day.
