The Ideal Job Posting
In this lesson you will start by learning about job postings, and the information that needs to be given in a job posting for an organization to attract an employee that is a good fit for the position and the company. You will then use the concept of a job posting to start thinking about your own perfect job posting.
Job Seekers
Use a variety of ways to find work: family, friends, word-of-mouth, visit businesses and ask about openings, seek help from community career service agents or recruiters
What is a Job Posting?
An advertisement created by an employer that alerts job seekers of a job opening with a company
Posting may appear anywhere (website, newspaper, job boards, classified ads, and social networking sites)
Information for a Job Posting
Every posting is different and depends on the type of company and job for which they are hiring
A posting may include: job title; duties and responsibilities; education and experience requirements; hours; wages; benefits; application instructions and contact information
