What is Self-Awareness?
Self-awareness is an important skill that you can use to help you progress on your personal developmental journey.
It is the ability to tune in to your own feelings, thoughts, and actions.
It's also about recognizing that how you act affects yourself and others.
The World Health Organization recognizes the following life skills that promote well-being across all cultures:
Self-awareness Problem-solving
Empathy Effective communication
Critical Thinking Interpersonal relationships
Creative Thinking Coping with stress
Responsible-Decision Making Coping with emotions
To be self-aware is to follow the first Delphic maxim of ancient Greece: "know thyself."
ASSIGNMENT
Watch the TedTalk "Why some of us don't have one true calling" and use the TedTalk worksheet to help you summarize the information. (make a copy of the worksheet for yourself)
Once finished, open the following Google document and make a copy for yourself.
