The purpose of the NPA Web Design is to allow learners to develop the technical skills required to create websites and graphics, and add interactivity to websites. There is also a focus on the importance of the website development process.
Skills developed include : designing using wireframes, creating websites using HTML and CSS, using scripting languages for interactivity, designing and creating or sourcing digital images to use within websites, understanding and developing suitable HCI (Human-Computer Interface) for use on websites, testing and evaluation.
This course is assessed throughout the year via formal in-class assessments and project work
S3 Computing Science and/or NPA level 4 or 5 in Digital Media
The skills developed in this course can lead on to further study in Computing Science, including Digital Media, Higher Computing or beyond school at College.
