Classes

Online Classes

Online classes are open during a specific window of time. Candidates are expected to complete all online requirements within that window.

Attendance

Full credit for attendance for an online class is given upon verification that a candidate has

1. completed all assignments required for the class;

2. and completed an online Reflective Journal.

Missed Class

A candidate who does not complete all of the required activities for an online class within the window may complete the class the next time the class are offered, usually during the following school year.

Online class equivalency is determined solely by VCOE staff.

Face-to-Face Classes

Classes begin on time. Instructors have the discretion to deny admittance to late arrivals.

Attendance

Full credit for attendance at a particular class is given upon verification that a candidate has

1. signed the class sign-in sheet;
2. turned in a Certificate of Attendance form to the instructor;
3. turned in a completed Reflective Journal;
4. and completed any assignments required for the class.

Missed Class

A candidate who misses a class may make it up the next time it is offered, usually during the following school year, or request enrollment in an online makeup class (if available) by contacting an Academic Advisor at academicadvise@vcoe.org.

Face-to-face class equivalency is determined solely by VCOE staff.
