Credential Programs

Teacher Induction is a Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)-approved induction program to recommend holders of Preliminary Multiple and Single Subjects Credentials for the Clear Credential. Teacher Induction assists K-12 beginning teachers, experienced teachers, and school site administrators to ensure beginning teacher success and retention. MS/SS IC provides the essential support, resources and collegial planning required for new teacher classroom effectiveness, enhanced teaching strategies for students from diverse backgrounds, focused professional growth, and increased awareness of teaching as a profession.

Administrator Induction is a CTC-approved induction program to recommend holders of Preliminary Administrative Services Credential for the Clear Credential. The program is job-embedded, CPSEL-aligned, individualized coaching program for recently hired school administrators seeking to clear their Preliminary Administrative Services Credentials. Under the guidance of an exceptional team of Lead Mentors who possess a combined 131 years of experience and program instructors who are practitioners in the field, you will gain new insights and strengthen your command of the skills and reflective processes that are the hallmark of effective leaders in K–12 school systems.

The Designated Subjects Credential (DSC) program is a CTC-approved program to recommend Preliminary and Clear Credentials for teachers assigned to Career Technical Education and Adult Education classes for the DSC Clear Credential. The program is a blend of direct instruction, self-paced, and online coursework. Although a fee-based program, some DSC candidates may qualify for tuition support through a grant from the CTC.

The Orthopedic Impairment Added Authorization Program is a CTC-approved program that provides a special education teacher with an additional credential authorization to teach students with disabilities in which the primary disability is "orthopedic impairment" (a severe orthopedic impairment that adversely affects a student's educational performance).

The Language and Academic Development (LAD) program is a CTC-approved program that provides a special education teacher the authorization to provide instructional services to students ages 3-22 with documented academic communication and language needs and in classes organized primarily for adults. The LAD credential does authorize the holder to provide speech and/or language services as defined in Education Code section 56333.
